This coffee is produced by 823 smallholder farmers in Bochessa kebele, Arbegona, where a community washing station processes carefully selected cherry. Established in 2022, the station meticulously washes, ferments, and dries each lot while maintaining strict traceability from farmer to final coffee.

Coffee is the heart of Arbegona, where farms are typically just 0.1–2 hectares and coffee plants are grown beneath natural shade. Producers carry generations of agricultural knowledge, preserving traditions that remain deeply woven into daily life.

Despite challenges such as limited access to water, electricity, education, and transportation, local families continue to dedicate themselves to coffee.
